💌 THE PROCESS
- Fill in the commission requests form. Here you can give me a clear description of what you are looking for. (eg. A simple pet portrait, a family portrait, or a comic panel etc.)
- I’ll reach out if I have further questions or remarks, otherwise I’ll email you with a quote based on your request (keep an eye on your spam folder).
- Once you accept the quote, you’ll receive an invoice and payment request.
- We will require good quality photos of your pet(s) before starting work. We will request these via the email address provided when we are ready to begin work on your commission.
- If you would like a family portrait, you can send through individual photos of the pets, and I will put them together according to your description.
- Full upfront payment is required before I begin your artwork.
- There are a limited number of commission slots per month, which work on a first paid first served basis. Once payment is received and reflected, your slot will be confirmed.
- Turnaround time is 1–4 weeks, depending on complexity. An anticipated deadline will be confirmed with you before work commences but after payment. If you have a deadline in mind, please also let us know so we can let you know if we are able to meet your expectations.
- You’ll receive a concept sketch and colour palette based on your reference photos. All major changes (pose, expression, etc.) must be made at this stage.
- Once the concept is approved, any significant revisions will incur an additional fee.
- A pre-final preview will be sent for your final approval.
- Your completed art files will be delivered via email.
🎁 WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
For digital commissions, you will receive following digital files:
- High-resolution JPG file
- Transparent PNG file
- High-resolution PDF (print-ready)
- Printing is NOT included, but can be arranged for an additional fee.
These files will allow you to print your portrait on whatever medium, and whatever size, you require.

- If you order a digital cartoon styled portrait, the end result will be printable files emailed to you.

- The artist retains copyright. Artwork is for personal use only.

🎨 TRADITIONAL WATERCOLOUR OPTION
You can now request a realistic, hand-painted A4 watercolour and ink portrait of your pet starting at R1000 (including shipping).
- This includes the original artwork, painted on high-quality paper.
